The need of the hour is speed. So newer methods of construction, design for manufacture and assembly and other technologies from all over the world need to be studied and improvised upon by the participating fraternity. Modularity will be another aspect of building with velocity to meet the year’s targets for the housing units.
The ask is multi-pronged. The design solution would need to be quickly constructible and at the same time it must create nurturing spaces that leave the inhabitants satisfied.
At IndiaNext, it is our firm belief that we do not change the goal post but rather change the way we approach it; making speed, quality and technology the game changers in our quest to meet the SDG targets.
Know MoreBuild on the nation's promises no matter what. The challenges this year is to build with speed and be a part of India’s growth story from the forefront.

The participating team must comprise of at least 1 architect and 1 engineer.
As mentioned in the solution section, the strengths of both team members must be leveraged for an innovative design solution. The housing segment has attracted many schemes which all aim to alleviate the homelessness that plagues large segments of our population still.
To provide velocity to the building of homes in large numbers, the competition is looking at solutions that are practical, and yet innovative to generate the kind of numbers to reach the targets for 2030.
Know MoreThe project must address the needs of the dwellers here. It could be the absence of adequate housing facilities and infrastructure or the need to support those dishoused by development projects. There is a strong need for a human design while ensuring that while building the home the community flavour of the area is retained. Focus on how you can nurture the very people who support the turning of the invisible wheels of commerce.
There are rural settlements where people continue to live on the fringes of the village without a proper roof on their head. There are many who are homeless and many who have returned from cities in search of their home. The project can look at solutions to uplift these settlements and enable them with low-cost yet a pukka home.
